Here’s our master bathroom suite. This was the very first room that I decorated when we moved in. The look I was going for in the space was Tuscan inspired. Having in mind I wanted the space to be warm, inviting, and relaxing.
This is what our master bathroom looked like before I added my touch. With a plan I transformed the space in two days.
When decorating an old world style bathroom dark earth tone accessories is important when your are trying to achieve the look. I added my twist of a little bling.
Soft plush decorative towels was purchased from Ross. Tassels were added for that extra Tuscan feel.
The candlesticks, I purchased from Hobby Lobby along with the candles. The tallest one is almost 4 feet tall. It adds drama style and a touch of ambiance.
I included some faux greenery placed in a metal container.
By placing a vase with decorative branches in the corner of the garden tub for some added height.
This towel rack was purchased from Hobby Lobby. You can never have too many towel racks.
With some epoxy on hand. I glued an old clip-on earring to hide the unsightly nail holding up the towel rack.
Ottomans are being used for seating.
Framed art or iron wall art works well in old world style bathrooms. This is one of my thrifty finds I got for $7. It’s a fireplace screen that I’m using as iron wall art.
Apothecary jars can be found almost anywhere and they can be used for so many things. Here I’m housing sponges, soaps and bath salts.
So, try turning your bathroom from ordinary to extraordinary. Try painting those builders beige painted walls to something that compliments your style. Just adding paint to your walls can add drama. Most of all have fun doing it!
