Closetmaid Space Creations, has changed our pantry for the better, whether you have a small or large closet. A well stocked and organized pantry can make life so much easier. Especially when everything has a place. When ClosetMaid asked me to partner with them on their new ClosetMaid Space Creations I was overly excited.
The bins, trash bags, and boxes played a huge part in the de-cluttering process. Everything was cleared out and placed on top of the kitchen counters in which we sorted, categorize and purged. Expired foods and expired dry goods got tossed out. Some can goods were donated to our local food pantry.
Before cleaning! My husband took down the old pantry shelving. Like most walk-in pantry’s we have this wire shelving that we inherited when we purchased our home. I’ve never been a huge fan of wire shelving in a pantry due to the fact of items falling over. After patching and sanding the holes and inspecting every corner. The pantry needed a fun yet subtle color. Mint green is by far my favorite color in fact I did an entire guest bedroom in it.
Creating zones, and designing the layout and function of our pantry was key to making it a success. Logical categories such as dried foods, baking supplies, snacks produce and drinks makes it easy to find things when you need them.
Closetmaid Space Creations allow me to create a snack drawer for my family. They’re divided into different compartments. Snacks for bagged lunch such as cookies, fruit cups, and nuts. If you have smaller children you can adjust the shelving at a height that your children can reach and it helps mom out when they can make their own lunches.
Throw Away The Packaging…
Get rid of as much of the manufacturer packaging. Dry goods like cereal, sugar, flour, pasta, snacks place them in clear airtight containers. Doing this prevents foods from going stale. In the end it will save you tons of money.
Don’t Waste ANY Space!
Corners usually takes up a lot of unused space. The advantages of having the Closetmaid Space Creations corner unit allows me get total use of the once wasted space. Everything is near the front, so no more forgotten items. Appliances, are much easier to reach without the shuffling of moving other kitchen items around.
Space Creations, allows you to adjust the drawers to fit your needs. We left space down below for our produce. Wooden Stackable Bins, are used to store them.
Baking Station central is at my fingertips. Prior to the makeover I DIY a baking cart. It was functional, and practical. I must say I really don’t miss it. One shelf is dedicated for all of my baking essentials. Having everything in clear containers makes it so much easier to view items when they’re getting low.
