Hilary from ”My So-Called Home” invited me do the $5 fall edition Goodwill challenge. I was super excited and more than pleased to join her again. I did the summer edition and I’m looking forward to doing many more with her.
The rules are… you can shop at Goodwill, thrift store, yard sale etc. But… you can’t spend over $5. Then you have to incorporate what you purchased into your home decor. Here’s what I purchase for under $5. Whoo-Hoo!!!!!! Thursday’s is half off on knick-knacks. I got two vases and two candle pillars and a plaque for under $4. The regular price was .99 cents each on the vases. Of course. I didn’t pay that, got it for .50 cents each. The candle pillars were also a steal for the large one $1.50 and the small one was $1. The adorable handmade plaque was .25 cents.
Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a nonprofit home improvement store and donation center. They sell new and slightly used furniture, home accessories, and appliances to the public at the fraction of the retail price. The best thing about ReStore is the proceeds are used to build locally and around the world.
I’m a seasonal decorator, it certainly helps to have all my fall decor on hand. I placed fall candles inside the jars. Then placed the jars on top of my candle pillars.
Here’s that homemade plaque I got for only .25 cents.
This is the most prettiest amber crystal acorn I’ve ever seen. Got this little beauty from Tjmaxx weeks ago. I knew It would look fabulous here.
Fall is around the corner. I hope this will jump start you to get ready for the fall.
