”A Cozy Fall Breakfast” for some out of town guest is perfect for this time of year. Fall is here and this is the time for shorter days and longer nights. I’m originally from the North where we have four seasons. Crunchy leaves filling the yard and eating anything pumpkin flavored. I sometimes miss that. To bring the feel of home, I wanted to serve my guest a cozy breakfast.
My inspiration for having a fall breakfast were these 6in” Cast Iron Skillets from World Market.
Shrimp and grits are one of those meals that you can eat anytime of the day. What a way to make your guest feel special by serving a delicious hearty meal in these individual serving cast iron skillets. They’re the perfect size and they retain heat which helps for keeping food warm.
”Help Yourself Buffet Style” is the only way to go in our home. This is my way of making our guest feel right at home. Most of you know how much I love using tiered racks on my buffets. This was a Ross purchase for $29.
We can’t have ”A Cozy Fall Breakfast” with out Mr. Rooster right? He’s sitting on top of my tier tray. Next, to 0”Roostie” are some mini cereal boxes, banana nut muffins, yogurt for the kiddo’s.
Mini chicken and waffles were perfect for the kiddo’s. All I used was a bag of chicken tenders and cut them to bite size pieces. Placed them on mini waffles. You can get them from any grocery store in the freezer section. Placed them in little mini tasting spoons I purchased at World Market.
World Market had this neat glass drying rack that I just love… it holds like a billion glasses and cups okay…. it holds 15. There’s also a place on top for a few bowls too!
Milk, apple juice, and fresh orange juice is also laid out for anyone who wants their morning burst of vitamin C.
Here’s a few of my Kitchen fall decor items. The pumpkins I purchased last year at Hobby Lobby. I did see them there this year in case you want them. The glass jar night light was a recent purchased from Kirkland’s. Regular price $7.99 it was on sale and with a 10% military discount I only paid $3.99.
My Fall Tablescape is kept simple. But you know that can change any second. The hurricane lamps was a purchase from Kirkland’s. Lighting them at night when having dinner is so beautiful. Burlap placemats and chargers suits the fall occasion. They come in a array of styles, prints, and colors. Place mats were from Ross and chargers are from Hobby Lobby.
Everyone loved the breakfast! Nothing is better than being in the company of good family and friends. Eating and catching up. Spending much needed time together was well over due. Happy Saturday All 🙂
