Martha Stewart living Beadboard Paintable Wallpaper has a striking look of raised wood beadboard. There’s a few choices you have to make before you choose a wallpaper to your liking. Martha’s product requires you to paste the wall first. Then apply the paper to the wall. Let me show you a quick and simple way to spruce up your space and cover those imperfections on your walls by using Beadboard Wallpaper.
Martha Stewart has this affordable, easy install, Paintable Beadboard Wallpaper at The Home Depot for only $20.00. It’s fantastic!!! It comes pre-pasted which makes applying it simple. Here are my supplies I have on hand. I purchased a wallpaper kit. It’s great because it comes with everything you will need to complete the job.
The paint color on the walls is called Gateway Grey by BEHR. First prepare your walls. Remove everything off your walls if your doing a bathroom this will include removing toilet paper holder, towel racks, pictures etc… Give your walls a good cleaning (TSP) works great. Patch up any holes, sand and smooth because it can show thru the paper.
Before you start. Draw a horizontal line using a level and determine how high on your wall you want to go. Halfway or 2/3 up the wall is what’s recommended.
Generously, apply wallpaper paste with a roller to the wall.
Trim the excess and move on to the next section.
Starting from the top hang your paper directly from the roll. Next, use a dry roller to smooth out any air bubbles and wrinkles.
Here we are halfway done. When applying the glue be sure to pay close attention to corners and edges. That’s where it’s likely to peel off.
After hanging the wall paper ”The Hubster” added the finishing touch of the chair rail molding. He used a miter box and cut it 45 degrees.

The pro’s of this wallpaper is it gives you the look of Beadboard Paneling Wallpaper. It’s not as durable as wood so you need to consider placement when it’s in high traffic areas. Looking at at this project may seem intimidating. But it’s truly easy. The cons I DON’T HAVE ANY!
