Afternoons, are often rainy this time of the year in the Sunshine State. Which reminds me…. I don’t have an umbrella stand. What??? I know! I’m always searching for an umbrella now we have a place for them.
Knowing there was an old galvanized bucket in our shed. I knew this would be perfect for our umbrellas. Giving it a coat of brown spray paint matches the exterior of our home. Before adding wooden balls to the bottom. I gave it a quick coat of gold spray paint. Epoxy was added to the balls and glued to the bottom of the bucket.
Monogrammed letters were added …Do you notice OCD 🙂 yeah I know!
My Second DIY Summer Project……Â
Give your old Outdoor Lighting new life. Giving it a coat or two of spray paint. That’s what I did using a can of Rust-Oleum. I chose the Hammered Brown because that was the closest color to the original fixture.
Tape off the glass and the electrical. Give it one light coat let it dry and give it a second coat.
”DO IT YOURSELF” saved ourselves alot of money. If your not good with electrical please hire a professional. You can mask off the house and the glass, then spray paint it without removing the fixture.
