Make your house feel welcomed and transform your guest bedroom to something more relaxing and comfortable. Today, is part two of my partnership with Christmas Tree shop andThat! I’m refreshing what used to be my sons bedroom into a guest bedroom. I’m sharing my tips on how you can refresh your guest bedroom for under $200.

Make Them Feel at Home

You can only make a good first impression once. The first thing your visitors see is the bed. The trick to making a bed look cozy and inviting use fresh light bedding, textures, and fluffy pillows. AndThat! has such an amazing assortment of seasonal items and quality items at a great value.

Fresh & Simple Bedding

White bed sheets is my jam, for several reasons. They’re easier to clean and care for than using colored sheets. But, for a guest room that’s not being used on a daily basis. It’s perfectly fine to use any color you like. They have so many choices and themes to choose from. The hardest part is picking one.

Buy What You Can Afford

Coral is the new pink! Using the color coral instantly adds energy and a burst of vibrance. That’s my first reaction when I laid eyes on this comforter set and the quilt, both were only$60.

Hotel-Inspired Look

Layer your bedding for that hotel inspired look and feel.  All of our beds have layers with a quilt or matelasse. Comforter or duvet cover folded at the foot of the bed give guest an option, in case temps drop at night.

Comfy Seating

andThat! has so many colors and styles of chairs to choose from. There furniture pieces prices are very reasonable. I placed two of the captain chairs from my old dining room set in the room. I added two furry pillows to add some softness.

Stock up on the Essentials

Night stands is a must to have in your guest room. Preferably one with drawers and a bottom shelf like this one from andThat! Talk about function! Inside the drawers I have guest essentials that everyone forgets to pack. Travel size essentials, toothpaste, toothbrush, soaps, lotions etc.

Comfy Seating

No one likes to bend over to put on or take off their shoes. If  your room is small the chair can also be used to place their luggage.

Hope you all have enjoyed the tour. Be on the lookout for round three of my challenge. You can visit andThat! location in Jacksonville, Florida. It’s on Southside Boulevard in the Timberlin Village north of the Avenues Mall. Enjoy! 🙂
