Summer is approaching and family and friends visits are frequent in our home. This is one of two of our guest rooms in our home. It often gets mistaken for our master bedroom. I want to share some of my tips and ideas on how I prepare for expecting guests.
Entering the bedroom, my guest are greeted with a basket of essentials. I always try and be prepared in case my guest has forgotten theirs at home. Here, I have a bath robe, slippers, water and cashews in case they want a snack during the night.
This Pintuck Duvet Cover I purchased from TjMaxx for $59. A duvet cover is like a pillow case but instead its for your comforter. White is my choice of color because it’s fresh and easy to clean as well as my sheets and pillowcases.
Do you like the look of this white Duvet Cover? Your in luck you can purchase it here. Just click on the link above to get yours today!
Throw pillows add some contrast against the white back drop.
You should always have a bedside table next to the bed. I like to leave the drawers empty so guest can place their things. This dresser is the best thrifty find ever…it was FREE! Hubby and I found this in front of someone’s house who was about to trash it. It was white when we got it. We spray painted it and added porcelain knobs I got from Hobby lobby.
Leaning Mirror I purchased a few years ago from TjMaxx for $50.
These awesome mirrors on the wall were a great steal from TjMaxx for $50. The original price was $49 for 3 but with a few hair line cracks I’ll take it. Yes…. Please….
Guest room essentials are good to have on hand when you have overnight guest. Living out of a suitcase isn’t fun, I don’t want them to feel like they are a bother to me. So, I keep theses essentials in the room.
The closet system was planned, but not painted in the closet. With all of the left over paint, I decided to do the closet the same accent color I painted over the bed. Hubby installed the closet system we had from our previous home.
Having all the guest room essentials at their disposal for guest makes them feel special and it shows that you were awaiting their arrival. In this closet system, I prepared fresh white towels, sheets, pillow cases, a bath robe, and slippers.
Hangers so that guest can hang their things.
Here’s a cute little hamper in the closet where guest can place their dirty laundry. I purchased this from the Burlington Coat Factory.
