Interior Front Door Makeover

painting interior front door

This is my 2nd story entryway foyer. My front door is the most over look detail in our home.  It was time for a change. In my opinion, your front entryway is the first impression when guest enter your home. It sets the stage for what they are about to see once they have entered.

foyer makeover

The space before was blah…neglected, boring, I can go on… and on….. My front door blended in with the walls. It was in a desperate need for a change.

English Tea is the name of the bold color. When the first coat went on it made me nervous because it was not pretty. But hey! Its only paint. You can always paint over it if you don’t like it. I’m super pleased with the out come it screams sophistication.

Console Table

If you have seen my decorating with mirrors video. You may have seen this table before. I got this console table from Ross for around $69. They came in three different sizes. I have the medium one.

Pier 1 candlestick buffet lamp

Pier 1 Candlestick Buffet Lamps are my new edition to my console table. I just love the clear glass base and the rivets around the lamp shade.

Details, Details, Details. The lampshade drum has ecru silk lining and a glass ball finial. Yes Please!!!!

accessorizing console table

Accessorizing my console table was simple. I just shop my home. Easy and free.

thrifty find

Okay…I know your looking at this bench with confusion. Don’t be, I have plans for this. I was in need for a small bench to place in the space and I found this hand painted bench from my local flea market for $5. I appreciate the beautiful artwork and I REALLY hated to paint over it. But it just wasn’t my style.

transformed flea market find

With a little love and alot of paint it was transformed.

entryway bench

It’s the perfect fit. With some added pretty throw pillows and a throw to cozy up the space was just fine.

thrifty find

My $2 basket was a thrifty find at Goodwill. I always like to use faux greenery in any space. I feel it gives any space life.

mirror in the foyer

Above the bench Yeap…another mirror.

Iorn wall art

Iron wall art above the door just adds a special touch. If your planning to paint your interior front door dont be afraid. Remember it’s only paint you can paint over it if you don’t like it. One thing to remember when decorating any space in your home. See how you want the space to function. Second, have a plan. Then, Shop your home. And always buy what you love and work around that.

Here is a video on this post!!
