Today I’m on a mission! I’m Organizing my teenage son’s Medicine Cabinet. Although school is out, I wanted to get a head start on getting him organized for the upcoming school year.
Purging was the first thing on my to-do-list! I threw away older items that has been sitting in there taking up valuable needed space.
Scrapbook paper was used to add color. Since this is my son’s medicine cabinet, I wanted the inside to be fun and happy when he opened it. At the moment bright green is one of his fave…. color. First, I measured the inside of the cabinet, cut the paper to fit, and I used doubled sided tape to hold it inside. It can be easily removed if desired.
InterDesign has a wonderful product called med organizers. The containers are made to fit inside your medicine cabinet. Compact containers are ideal for small space living. They’re great for organizing small items and freeing up much needed counter top space. They’re perfect for smaller bathrooms who have limited counter space as well. Here you can purchase some similar items that may meet your needs. Click on the link below.
This container holds the obvious….. It’s alot safer to have your tooth brush inside your cabinet instead of your counter tops. Helps keep germs and dust off them.
Utilize your interior door space by placing cable organizers inside. They’re used to house your tv, phone cables, etc. It’s a great space saver for tooth brushes and razors. They come in different colors and they’re perfect for families who have multiple children in their household. Each child can have their own color so there will be no mix ups. I purchased mine from Amazon for only $2.12. Click on the link below to get yours today!
Top of the shelf holds little items that can get lost. Eyedrops, floss, lip balm. Inside the drawer are q-tips and face pads.
Short on space? Small clear bottles are great instead of keeping large bottles of creams and oils inside. The big bottles can take up valuable space inside your medicine cabinet. Place some of the content in smaller clear bottles and label them. Place the bulky bottles in the bottom cabinet or a linen closet.
If you don’t already know I love to re-purpose items and give it a new purpose. This was a paper clip holder. I love it because it’s small and compact. It’s perfect for his floss picks.
This is my attempt to keeping him organized. Wish me luck 🙂
