Naked Cake Triple Chocolate! I have the perfect excuse for making this piece of heaven. It’s my Mom’s Birthday!!!!!! She’s a chocolate lover as well. I’m guessing that’s where I got it from…lol! I wanted to surprise her with a semi-homemade cake. It’s called a ”Naked Cake” because the sides are left unfrosted. With or without frosted, sides it’s still delicious.
Remember ”Easy Bake Ovens“? I was introduced to it at a very young age. I mean…seriously! Since then, I always had a passion for baking. And…. I wanted to bake everyone a cake. Haha!!!! Chocolate Buttercream, always taste better with chocolate cake. More chocolate the better, right…? right….? Anyway, this cake is super easy for anyone to recreate even if your not a baker and it’s a lot cheaper than buying it from a bakery.
First stop the bakery! Most supermarket bakeries, will sell you buttercream. It’s such a time saver especially if your short on time. While waiting on my Chocolate Buttercream to be freshly made. I picked up a few boxes of Triple Chocolate cake mix it was on sale, took advantage of that NO coupon needed…. it was a BOGO ”Yeppie”! Make your cake as per directions on the box. You can certainly use your own recipe if you wish. If your cake comes out with a slight hump on top just cut it off evenly. Make cake pops with the extras or just eat it!
Flowers, adds such a pretty polished look. You can embellish with real or faux flowers. It adds a personal touch, especially for my mom because she LOVES….flowers.
Easter Sunday is in a few days. This Naked Cake, will be a show stopper at Easter Dinner, birthday’s or just because! Indeed it will be a cake they will never forget!
