Finally the time has come, our kitchen is finally completed!
This tile is responsible for the big change for the kitchen makeover. It’s so beautiful….
Since moving into our home over 10 years ago, we have made some pretty siginificant changes to our kitchen. First we replaced our laminate countertops for granite, and later quartzite on the island.
then…we replaced the backsplash. It was just a bare wall before.
Next, we decided to lighten things up in the kitchen by painting the cabinets white. Yup! Save us over 10K true story. Our cabinets are in great shape why change them because of the color?!
Now we’re on to the flooring. My biggest concern was can you lay a wood floor over existing tile? YES you can. Of course, we need flooring that was waterproof and durable. The only issue was choosing a color.
After months of researching and countless quotes. We decided to go in for the plunge, and do it.
Installation, took only two days due to how humongous my kitchen is!
We had to take out our Closet Maid pantry system to continue the flooring throughout. While is was out, we decided to get rid of the corner unit because it was not only massive, things got lost or forgotten. Here’s what it looked like before.
We replaced the corner unit with this Closet Maid unit. It’s narrow.
Since, I’ve added these beautiful baskets, I can get to my items easily.
We are over the moon happy with our new flooring, it’s warm and inviting, and its easy to clean using ONLY water. Check back to see how we are going to carry the flooring into the family room, and foyer to complete the look! Stay inspired my darlings…
